Grade 7/8 Geography Challenge

The grade 7 and 8 geography classes participated in The Great Canadian Geography Challenge. After weeks of hard work we had the in-class geography challenge quiz last week. The entire class took part. There were five finalists–Talia, Stephanie, Ryan, Nyatike and Jonathan. The results of the finals this past Monday were very close, with a tie between Talia and Nyatike. Talia won in the tie-breaking round. As the school winner, she will receive a year's free subscription to Canadian Geographic magazine and will be entering the provincials taking place in February. If Talia is successful she will proceed to the nationals. Good luck Talia and congratulations to the Grade 7/8 class for a job well done! – Mrs. Marshall
