Giving to Foundation

Make it your mission to help us in our mission!

Foundation Christian School's mission is to provide high quality, affordable Christian education to families. To make this possible tuition rates are kept low, but this means that only a portion of our operating budget can come from tuition. The rest of our annual budget is raised through donations, fundraising, and special events. If you support and believe in Christian education, please consider helping by donating money directly to the school. It's easy!

Donate by cheque or monthly withdrawal

If you would like to donate by cheque or monthly withdrawal, please download and submit our donation form. It provides a number of options for you to direct your donation to Foundation. Or, just mail your cheque(s) to us, or contact us and we'll pick them up from you.

If you would feel more comfortable with a recurring monthly withdrawal rather than a one-time lump-sum donation, please download the Pre-Authorized Transfer Service Agreement form, complete the Transfer from account: section as well as the starting and ending donation dates, then sign and return the form with a void cheque. We'll take care of submitting the form, and the amount you've pledged will automatically be withdrawn from your account over the time period that you have specified.

Foundation also accepts payments and donations by credit card. Please contact the school office to make a credit card donation.

 

Fundraising options

Shop and Support program

Preferred One's Shop and Support program allows anyone to raise money for Foundation Christian School simply by shopping! Ok, there is a bit more to it than just shopping, but it really is easy, and can effortlessly raise a lot of money for the school.

Here's how it works. Just buy prepaid shopping cards or gift certificates for use at participating retailers. Foundation Christian School receives a percentage of the value of each shopping card purchased. Contact the school for details, or to place your order.

You can even order Shop and Support gift cards and certificates on-line. Here's what to do to get signed up:

  1. Go to the Shop and Support website.
  2. Click to sign up.
  3. Enter your information in the registration pages, including the following Foundation Christian School group ID number: 0100554776.
  4. That's it! Click the 'Log In' link and place your orders. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up and pay by web banking.

You can also share this program with your friends and neighbours. When they sign up and shop using our group ID number, we get the benefits! You can pick up their gift cards at Foundation, and distribute the cards to them.

Staples Dividends

Foundation Christian School is registered in the Staples Dividends program which provides rewards to the school based on the value of all Staples purchases. You can contribute to raising Foundation's rewards total by using the school's Dividends number when making any purchases at Staples. Shop at Staples for your family's back-to-school needs. The more you buy, the more rewards the school receives!

Zehrs cash register tapes

Yes, we also collect Zehrs tapes. Please lay them flat and put them in a bag for submission to the school. Do not roll, staple or crumple! Parents, put your Zehrs tapes right into your Gemstone box!

Campbell's Soup labels

Do you eat soup? When you finish those cans of Campbell's Soup, please slice the labels along the seam, remove the entire label and lay them flat (don't roll or staple them, please) in a bag for submission to the school. Campbell's provides all kinds of great products for non-profit organizations in exchange for soup labels. See www.labelsforeducation.ca for a full list of accepted product labels.

Canadian Tire money

Foundation also collects Canada's second official currency, Canadian Tire money! Send your extra Canadian Tire cash to us—we'll deposit it in the nearest Bank of Canadian Tire when we need small odds and ends or maintenance items for the classrooms.

 

Volunteering

If you have some spare time and want to get involved, we have a lot of volunteer positions available. Do you like gardening, or counting and organizing grocery store receipts, or would you like to assist in a classroom? These, and other volunteer positions are available. If you have a gift or time that you would be willing to share with us, please contact us and we'll make the necessary arrangements for you to come and help.
